Pipe & Drum Corps #205
Host LC puts on her Scottish plaid and meets the Cops (and Firemen) in Kilts who make up this prestigious group. They perform at the Highland Games and host a traditional haggis dinner. LC gets a lesson on the pipes and drum.

Host LC participates in glass blowing with Portland glass artist Ben Coombs and tours a spectacular exhibit at the Farnsworth Art Museum featuring world renowned glass artists.

Pies on Parade #201 4/5
Rockland is the sweet location for this tasty event. We watch Inn Keepers prepare for the 4th annual charity event presented by a group of the town’s Historic Inns. Host LC salivates as savory pies, sweet pies, tarts and other delectables are readied for 250 people. LC gets lessons in how to make perfect pies and crusts.
Haystack Mountain
School of Crafts #202 4/12
Haystack sits “like a Greek fishing village” on the shores of Jericho Bay. In this picturesque setting on Deer Isle, Host LC attends Maine Weekend and meets the artists who flock to Haystack for classes in pottery, drawing, tin work and other arts. LC tries her hand at blacksmithing.
Norlands
Living History Museum #203 4/19
Host LC travels inland and back in time to the 1880s at the old Washburn farm in
Livermore. At Norlands, little has changed since the family left the place, leaving their household furnishings in place for history. Horses pull the plow and children play with 19th century toys. The gothic library houses letters from Abraham Lincoln among hundreds of rare books and artifacts.

Host LC gets rhythm (or at least tries) as she meets the choreographer and members of this inter-generational spiritual dance company. We go to rehearsal and a performance at a church service. LC also takes a dance lesson.

Winona Camps #101
Host LC enjoys the beautiful Maine weather on the shores of Moose Pond and visits one of the oldest summer camps in North America. Along with hundreds of young boys and staff from 30 states and 25 countries, LC takes archery and tennis lessons and enjoys the out-of-doors. The show features a special appearance by the BAT!
Roller Derby #102
This isn’t what you watched on TV in the 70s. It’s a whole new women’s contact sport
that is gaining a national following. Topsham is the hot practice spot for “fishnets on wheels” where we meet Miss Creant, Vexacious D, The Mom Bomb, Killer Quick and the rest of the feisty, athletic women of Maine Roller Derby. LC suits up and cheers the action at a scrimmage bout.
Fiddle Camp #103
Host LC goes to Camp! She joins in the fun with Maine’s best fiddlers as they stomp and dance and have a good old time camping out in the Maine woods in Montville. LC tries her hand (and feet!) at the banjo, fiddle and penny whistle. Fiddlers young and old with a wide range of proficiency fiddle day and night.
Maine State Music Theatre #104
Sanford native and Performance Intern Jason Cook is LC’s guide behind-the-scenes of
Brunswick’s nationally-acclaimed Maine State Music Theatre in Brunswick. LC dreams of a life in the theatre as she watches set building and costume stitching and meets the cast and crew who create the magic for Beauty and the Beast.
Cold River Vodka #105
Turning potatoes into gold is what this Freeport enterprise is all about. Maine’s only
upscale vodka manufacturer adds value to a traditional Maine crop with style and
local inventiveness. LC goes to the farm where she sorts spuds and tours the distillery, lending a hand to the bottling process.
Victoria Mansion #106
Portland's Victoria Mansion is a hidden gem of international significance. Perfectly preserved from the mid-19th century, this sumptuous home lets visitors walk through spaces decorated to the highest standards of the era. LC and our camera go into every corner, revealing details few ever get to see.
Acadia National Park #107
Acadia continues to offer millions of visitors the magic of nature on the rocky Maine coast. LC goes on walks and boat trips with the Rangers and enjoys a carriage ride through the beautiful forests. She even earns a Junior Ranger badge!
Maine State Aquarium #108
Kids play with squids and crabs in the Touching Pool. People stroke dogfish in the
Touching Tank. All around are beautifully lit tanks alive with shining smelt, salmon
and many other Maine fish. LC meets the dynamic Director and confronts Henry
the Hopping Halibut.
The Bounty #109
LC searches for movie magic on board the massive ship that once carried Marlon
Brando. We find real craftsmanship in the Boothbay Harbor shipwrights, among few in the world able to work on this replica of the 18th century sailing vessel. Myths explode as the captain and owner tell real stories about nautical filmmaking with Johnny Depp and the true character of William Bligh. And LC is there for the post restoration launch.

Young People’s Company
at the Theater Project #111
Host LC goes behind the scenes at one of Brunswick’s best loved theater companies. She follows the teenagers of the Young Company as they prepare for a production of Alice in Wonderland. LC is there as roles are assigned, costumes created and rehearsals proceed. She even has a brief walk-on role in one special performance of the play.
Portland Museum of Art’s Biennial #112
Host LC meets the artists and enjoys the work of the Maine artists chosen to participate in the 2007 Biennial at this prestigious museum. There is something for every artistic taste in this art show, ranging from traditional oil paintings to birdseed sculptures to video installations.
