New Show on MPBN
incredibleMAINE is off to an incredible start. And that’s before the TV show actually launches on Maine Public Broadcasting Network on November 3rd. The excitement and momentum the show has already mustered was obvious during the Launch Party at the Frontier Café in Brunswick.
More than 100 people turned out in support of the Maine Production team that has brought about a miracle of sorts by getting their locally produced magazine-format show incredibleMAINE broadcast on MPBN.
Celebrants were treated to excerpts from the first four shows that will launch the weekly series on Saturday mornings at 10:30 AM. Live entertainment was provided by people featured in the first four shows. There were appearances by the BAT from Winona Camps (which airs November 3rd) and the women of Maine Roller Derby (which airs November 10th).
The Launch Party also featured music by fiddlers representing Maine Fiddle Camp (airing 11/17) and professional performers singing music from Maine State Music Theatre’s production of Beauty and the Beast (airing 11/24).
“The community support for our show has been astounding,” said LC Van Savage, on-air host of incredibleMAINE. “This show has been a labor of love for our team and now it is actually airing on MPBN for the entire state of Maine to enjoy.”
Part magazine format, part documentary format and part music TV, incredibleMAINE takes viewers on an adventure of Maine’s unique character. The show is a 13-part series that goes behind the scenes of some of Maine’s most incredible places and inside the heads of some of its most incredible people.
The show is written and produced by Marilyn Taylor of Harpswell and directed and edited by Dave Wilkinson of Harpswell.
